Prepare for five days of heart-pounding river rafting where each rapid navigated mirrors the challenges that will be encountered in the Soul of Steel Himalayan Series. The daunting expedition stretches from the mesmerising Rudraprayag in the Lower Himalayas up to the holy city of Rishikesh in the plains, navigating along the Alaknanda and Ganga rivers. The itinerary is meticulously crafted to offer an immersive experience of water rafting and Yoga amidst the serene Himalayan landscape.
Itinerary Highlights
| 18th Jan | Arrive at Gauchar Army Area for basic training in white water rafting, adventure situations, and first aid essentials. Reporting Location: RP Gate, Gauchar Army Camp Reporting time: by 1300 hrs (1:00 pm) |
| 19th Jan | Set off from Rudraprayag to Srinagar Garhwal (Dhari Devi) for a 5-hour rafting day covering Class 3+/4 rapids. |
| 20th Jan | Continue from Srinagar Garhwal to Devprayag, navigating 10 Class 2+/3 rapids over 5 hours and camping near the sacred confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. |
| 21th Jan | Raft down from Devprayag to Kaudiyala, encountering 10 Class 2+/3 rapids over 5 hours and camp by the banks of the holy Ganga River. |
| 22th Jan | From Kaudiyala to Rishikesh, experience nearly 20 Class 3+/4 rapids, including the famous “The Wall,” in a thrilling 5-hour rafting adventure. |
| 23th Jan | Conclude the expedition with a Flag In Ceremony at Rishikesh/ Haridwar and departure in the evening after 1700 hrs (5:00 pm) |

| Inclusions | – Accommodation in homestays, tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, toilet facilities, dining arrangements, etc. – All meals, refreshments, first aid kits, necessary permits, and technical equipment. – Trained staff including River Guides, Yoga Instructors, Cooks, and Support Staff. – Engaging activities like waterfall visits, cliff jumping, jungle trail trekking, and yoga sessions. |
| Exclusions | – Personal expenses, Toiletries, Insurance coverage, and Unforeseen costs due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. |
| Items to Carry | Headlamp, Water bottle, and special personal medications (if necessary). A 20-30 Litre backpack for carrying the essentials during the expedition. Additional luggage of maximum 20 kg limit will be carried separately by the organisers during rafting. Following clothing items should be carried (expect to get wet) :

Eligibility
Any person (Indian or foreign) who is medically fit and above 18 years of age are eligible. NO prior qualification in water rafting is required, however, will be preferred. Persons with ailments which are acceptable in the expedition may be allowed subject to medical advice.
