The expedition team started from ATS Golf Meadows (Dera Bassi near Chandigarh) at 9 am. The team was given a warm send off by the residents, Veterans living in the surrounding areas and enthusiastic children too. The Military veterans and the children were deeply inspired by the grit and courage of the participating people with disabilities in taking on this pathbreaking endeavour to scale Siachen Glacier.

The convoy was greeted by poster & placard bearing kids wishing the team good luck, along the premises of ATS Golf Meadows.

The Expedition team reached Mandi (Himachal) at around 3.30 pm for a pitstop organized by Team Mahindra through thier local Dealership team. The hospitality was a much needed respite after the long hours of mile crunching.

It was hearting to see so many common people following ‘Operation Blue Freedom’ so closely. The team was met with requests for selfies at most stops. Along the route, enthusiastic fans of CLAW Global and Operation Blue Freedom made several videos of the imposing Convoy of vehicles and an equally imposing and powerfully spirited people inside the vehicles.

At 8.30 pm the expedition team reached Kullu and was welcomed in traditional Himachali style replete with hand-made ‘Pahari Topi’ and the ritual ‘Aarti’.
